Muslim had strict fast, during the month of Ramadan. This month they are participating in social activities such as giving charities and peacemaking. Thought out the world Muslim observe the strict fast. Eid Al Fitr or Festival of Fast-Breaking is a Muslim festival celebrated after Ramadan, the day fasting, finishes. Muslims do not fast on Eid Al Fitr. Fasting on Eid is not allowed. Eid Al Fitr is the next day after you see Shawwal moon after the holy month of Ramadan. In this festival Children’s take chocolates, money, Sugar, Sweets and etc from the other people. During this festival, people forgive each other.
Eid Al Fitr is on the first day of Shawwal as per 10th Islamic calendar month, Ramadan is the month follows in the Islamic calendar. The month is started with giving charity to those who is in need and celebrating with friends and family members with joy and blessing till end of the month. Eid Al Fitr is the end of the fasting month Ramadan. Fasting is also believed by some matured people fundamental distinctions. It also tells Muslims to stay away from worlds and remember the god and thanks to God for his blessings and everything. During this, it creates a strong bond between the god and Muslims. Before the day of Eid Al Fitr (the Festival of Fast-Breaking), During the Ramadan’s last few days, Each Muslim family gives determined amount of donation is food, cloths, money to the people are in need and ensure that poor or needy people can have food and participate in the celebration of Eid.
What to do Before Eid Al Fitr Prayer
Before performing the prayer
- Muslim shows happiness.
- Give a determined amount of charity to the poor.
- Go to the early Eid Salaat.
- Takbirat should be read in an open field.
- Go to Eid prayer on foot.
- Remember do not speak one word other than words remembering Allah or anything Islamic terms during and after Eid salaat. You can speak once u left the Mosques or Masjid or any other place where you are praying.
- Muslim use to low voice while going to prayer and they were around the mosques or Masjid or any other place where they pray.
Muslim all come together on outdoor place or mosques or Masjid to perform the Eid prayer, on the day of Eid. Short congregational prayer is followed by sermon it consists of asking of God’s forgiveness, peace, a blessing for living all across the world. The sermon also tells Muslims as to the ‘zakat’ means ‘the performance of rituals of Eid’
After done with Eid prayer, Muslim visits to various family relatives and friend circle. On Eid, they give gifts to children’s and close family and friends and they make calls to distant relatives to give well wishes of Eid.
This traditional celebration is continuing for three days. All Muslim countries, all three days are an official government holiday and school holiday.
